To generate a report or to perform an inquiry such as Flight Following, the "Reporting" function is selected from the system's top bar.
The Pull Down Menu contains the possible report types. The types define the level in the airline that the report will address.
The fields to allow the report generator to produce a report contain the necessary data, when filled in, to produce a report.
The request was to print the report, it is a large report so "landscape" (Sideways printing) is automatically selected). Only the first page or the report is shown.
The meaning of the fields in the report generator set up are explained below.
| Type | Determines at what level in the airline that the report
addresses.
Airline represents the entire airline
|
| Content | Defines the content addressed by the report |
| Report Coverage | Internal = in your airline
External is outside of your airline (OAL) |
| Display Medium | View, the report is displayed on the System's Monitor Print, the report is printed on the System's Printer Export, the report is loaded onto magnetic media or transmitted via communication to a selected target, in a flat ASCII file delimited and formatted to your choice |
| Date/Time |
When you execute the report generator to compile a report. You use the time and date fields to define the days (period) that the report will include and also the exact time period that the report will include for the specified period. Minimum/Maximum Time represents the time that the report will be generated for in each of the periods (dates) defined. The minimum time is one minuet and the maximum time is 24 hours. If start and end time is set to 0000 to 0001 and the start and end date is set to 01/01/99 to 01/31/99, The report would contain the data from (Military Time) 0000 to 0001 for each day in January, 1999. Conversely if the time was set 0000 to 2400 and the period as above, the report would contain data for the entire month of January. |
This flexibility means that you set the time that the report starts to gather the specified data, the length of the time and the period of the report from one day to any period length desired. The minimum report is one minuet and the maximum is as large as your define.
